Qualtrics Acquires PG Forsta

For some, the news that two major tech players in our industry are merging with Qualtrics agreeing to acquire PG Forsta will feel like a win. Having spent years as I software buyer, I get it. Scale and broader capabilities can bring exciting opportunities but I’ve also seen some big mergers lead to slower decision-making, greater bureaucracy and price hikes to cover the cost of the deal.
It’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out but I’ve come to believe that clients benefit most when there’s healthy competition and real choice in the market.
The big players are brilliant at what they do, and there will always be room for them. But there should also always be room for alternatives. No two businesses are exactly the same, so clients need solutions that truly fit their requirements and that’s where having options becomes so important.
Watermelon exists to be that alternative: to disrupt the status quo and deliver solutions that are truly tailored, flexible, and focused on what our clients really need.
We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We’re all about being a smart, flexible, hands-on partner, built for clients who want straightforward solutions without unnecessary complexity and cost.
✅ We build our own tech so we can adapt at speed
✅ We focus on what matters with no gimmicky features
✅ We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty to support our clients
✅ And we’re priced fairly because we believe CX tech should be accessible to all budgets
Sometimes you need the biggest name. But sometimes, as our clients have found, it pays to give the underdog a shot 🍉
